The cardigan you NEED for fall

Cozy_cardigan_for_fall

Sweaters, pumpkins and all things cozy! It's official, fall is finally here... in stores at least. Temperatures here in Charlotte are still in the upper 80's and 90's, but that's not stopping retailers from dishing out all things pumpkin at us. As much as I am sad to see summer go, I mine as well embrace fall into open arms and what better way to do so than with the comfiest cardigan in the world?

A fun business casual look

If they're going to make me dress like an "adult" I'm at least going to throw in some type of color, pattern, or girly flair in there, right? Don't get me wrong, I love my blacks and navy pieces, but life is to short to go out to work in boring clothes every day, right?

Heart Printed Dress (super old, similar HERE) || Similar blue cardigan || Reversible Tote || Nude Flats || Watch

Happy Wednesday friends!

So I have a confession to make... My closet is lacking in the work/business casual attire badly. And when I mean badly I mean I alternate between two outfits when I need to dress up. This is slightly embarrassing considering that I am a senior in college and I am a business major. How did I last this long? I question that myself too.

I was never the one who loved the traditional plain black and white business wear outfit (which I know in different professions there isn't much room to play with prints and colors). I like my outfits to reflect my personality and mood for the day and most days black and white just aren't going to cut it for me.

If you take a look through my past outfit posts you can quickly tell that I love colors and a good fun pattern (especially floral!) I recently rediscovered this printed shirt dress in my closet and cannot believe that it's been tucked away in my closet for so long! I have had this dress since sophomore year of HIGH SCHOOL and have probably worn it maybe twice since then. In the past two weeks, I've already worn this dress three times and am already looking for similar dresses because I love it so much!

Funny how were fall in love with old items when we go shopping in our own closets, huh? Kind of the reason why I am hesitant to get rid of my old things.. haha!

Like I had said, my workwear wardrobe needs some work especially with some changes shortly occurring. If you all have a favorite place to find some cute and affordable workwear items please let me know in the comments down below! Also, let me know what your go-to workwear piece is. I'd love to know!

P.S. All my Charlotte friends, there's a fun Brahmin event at South Park tomorrow evening if you all want to check it out! Here's the invite with all the information if you would like to attend!

I hope all of you have a wonderful rest of your week!

The color of fall

If fall could be a color it would be maroon... or burgundy, or wine, or what ever you decide to call this gorgeous color. Year after year my go to color in the fall time has to be maroon. It's such a classic color for this time of year and you can pretty much guarantee this color isn't going out of style any time soon.

Outfits throughout the day with TOBI

So many outfits, so little time.

Between school, work, working out, going out to dinners or going out for the night I can easily run through several different outfits in one day. On the flip side I also have those days where I literally roll out of the bed in a pair of Norts and a tee and end up wearing that the entire day... Hey, it happens.

Today I thought it would be fun to share with you all what a typical day goes for me outfit wise. From school to work(ish) to going out I'm giving you all the deets on what I would typically wear. Let's get started now, shall we?

Outfit 1: School day ready
Partner in Crime Stripped Dress c/o || Reversible Tote || Glitter Keds || Watch || Similar Necklace

As of late this is what a typical school day outfit looks like for me (yes, coffee in hand too!). One of my go to pieces to wear for class has been comfy dresses. Dresses are SO easy to throw on and you don't even have to think about pairing a different top and bottom. It's also a plus that you look slightly dressed up even though you only threw on one article of clothing and ran out the door.

Another go to piece for me when it comes to school wear are comfy shoes. I make the commute to campus by foot and uncomfortable shoes are a big no no for me. One of my favorite shoes has to be these glitter Kate Spade Keds! They instantly add a wow factor to any outfit and they're super comfortable!

Shop the look:

Outfit 2: Meetings / Dinner
Swoop in Shift Dress c/o || Similar Purse || Similar Nude Wedges || Similar Triangle Necklace || Bar Necklace c/o || Watch

Usually after class I'll have some sort of meeting, maybe an interview, a dinner date, or some sort of occasion where I would have to dress a little nicer for. We all know that I have a love for shift / swing styled dress and when I saw this little number I knew I had to have it.

The olive color of this dress is just perfect for fall and the dress itself is so simple that I can see myself styling it multiple different ways. The v-neck cut of this dress was actually a little too low for my personal taste, but a quick stitch with a needle and thread and the dress was the perfect cut for me!

Shop the look:

Outfit 3: Night Out
Diem Skort Romper c/o || Similar Mint Statement Necklace HERE and HERE || Similar Black Wedges || Monogram Clutch c/o || Watch

TBH before I turned 21 I wasn't big on going out (heck, I'm still not huge on going out now that I am of age #grandma), but when I do rompers / cute shorts are my go to. As much as I love dresses during the day, I feel way more comfortable in some sort pant like bottom when going out at night.

This little romper is the perfect going out piece because it's super comfortable and it kind of gives you the look of a short going out dress without the whole "I'm worried my booty is hanging out with every step I take" feeling.

As much as I love my colors during the day, black on black is my go to at night. There's something so sleek about a black on black outfit and the best part is if you spill something on yourself you can't really tell! #clutz

Shop the look:
Whew! And that's it! LIke I said some days I don't go through this many outfit changes while others it seems like I go through my entire closet! You never know what the day entails.

All of these outfits were from TOBI. TOBI is an awesome online retail site offering on trend pieces for an affordable price. As you can see, they have pieces that will work for pretty much any occasion whether it be school, work, or going out related. The best part is that for first time shoppers you get 50% site wide!

Have you ever shopped at TOBI before? Also, let me know which one of these outfits was your favorite in the comments down below! I hope you all have a wonderful Monday and be sure to come back Wednesday for a new post!

Thanks for reading!

Pink Talks v.10

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9

Happy Sunday everyone!

Apologizes for the late Pink Talks post, things have been a little crazy here outside of the blog. From school work starting to pile up, searching for a job, and trying to get my life together I have been a little overwhelmed lately. #adulting Any who, let's just jump right in to today's Pink Talks post!

What I've been doing...

Exploring Charlotte
Lately RJ and I have been making an effort to explore more of Charlotte. Even though I have been in Charlotte for a little over three years now I tend to have gotten into the routine of going to the same restaurants, the same stores, and the same parts of town.

We recently went exploring in South End Charlotte and we fell in love with this part of town! To me it was sort of a combination of Noda and South Park which are two of my favorite parts of Charlotte. We even scouted a few potential photo spots for the blog so I'm excited to head back over there to take some photos!

If you follow me on Snapchat (amy.pnp) then you may have saw some snaps of the blogging event I attended on Friday! I was able to attend the End of Summer Bash with Diet Coke hosted by Simply Stylings! Unfortunatly I didn't realize the event was 21+ and I had brought RJ who doesn't turn 21 until next month... /:

RJ was such a sweetheart and pushed me to go up to the event for a little bit to mingle with some fellow bloggers and to take some photos while he sat in the lobby watching TV. Seriously, major shout out to him, he's too sweet!

Like I had mentioned, I did end up going up to the event for 20ish minutes to meet up with some of my blogging babes and to check out the event. The event was so cute and decorated with Diet Coke bottles for the event.

Incase you were wondering, I did make it up to RJ for being such a good sport by taking him out to dinner afterwards. We headed to Fahrenheit to take some photos of the Harvest Moon and look out over the city. Afterwards we ended the night at Nikkos, our favorite place for some delicious sushi!

Recent Purchases...

I haven't made really any exciting purchases as of late (unless you count a new tire for my car exciting... #adultling). Most of my money has been spent towards school related items and groceries as of late.

However, I did pick up a super cute cocktail shaker (which is currently on sale and low key mad that I didn't wait a little bit for a discounted price!) for a bar cart I plan on having in my future apartment once I graduate and have a place on my own. They even have matching bar and wine accessories that I really want to pick up as well!

Target has been having SO many cute home decor pieces out lately and it's been so hard for me to not buy everything in site! Their Oh Joy collection has been my favorite! I have linked some of my favorite items down below for you all!
What have you been loving as of late? Let me know in the comments down below! I hope all of you have a wonderful Sunday and as always, thank you for reading!

Game Day Dress

Shop my outfit:
BooHoo Tshirt Dress || Similar Marble Necklace || Similar White Oxfords || Kate Spade Purse || Similar Elephant Bracelet || Alex and Ani Initial Bracelet || Alex and Ani Unicorn Bracelet

Happy Friday friends!

Raise your hand if you're happy that football season is here! *insert 50 hand raising emojis* I love football season and the atmosphere that comes with it. Call me cheesy or what have you, but I love going to a game, bar, viewing party and just be surround with a group of people cheering on the same team. It's kind of like we're a family!

I grew up cheerleading for football and have always loved watching the sport. I wasn't one to dress up for games or to watch football games until last year when I REALLY got into watching football (bc I actually learned what was going on...). Typically my go-to outfit would be game day tee tucked into my shorts (like that one I posted on my Instagram last Thursday!) or a jersey, but lately I've been really into actually dressing up. (Hey, I am a fashion blogger after all, right?).

The number one thing I knew I did not want to sacrifice when it did come to dressing up for football games was comfort. If you're outside tailgating, at a bar or even sitting at home, why would you want to be uncomfortable? I picked up this t-shirt dress from BooHoo last year and it has been one of my favorite pieces to wear to cheer on the Panthers! This dress is super easy to dress up with some heels and a statement necklace or dress down like I have done here to watch the game.

I'm always on the hunt for cute and comfy game day dresses to wear for college games or NFL games so I'd love to hear where you all get your dresses in the comments down below!

Also, I'm heading to a fun blogging even tonight so be sure to follow me on Snapchat (@amy.pnp) to see what I'm up to! I hope all of you have a wonderful and safe weekend!

The perfect watch for fall

Happy Monday friends!

One thing you may not know about me is that I love watches. I'm pretty certain I got the love for them from my dad. Growing up I always saw my dad wear beautiful watches and had always admired his collection which sparked me to start a collection of my own. One thing about watches though, is that I am very picky... probably why I only have two in my collection.. until now!
I have been seeing wooden watches around social media for a while and have loved the way they looked. I even gave RJ a wooden watch as a present last year and since then I wanted one of my own. Imagine my excitement when I received this beauty from JORD in the mail and I was excited to add another member to my watch family.

This wooden watch just screams fall to me and I can already tell I'm going to wear it all season long. I mean, the arm candy and bracelet stacking options are just endless from here, am I right?

JORD specializes in unique wooden watches for both men and women. I chose a dark wood watch so I would be able to wear it in the fall, but they have a variety of other watches for women that you can choose from.

If you love this watch as much I do, you can enter to win a chance to get a $75 e-gift code to spend on any JORD watch! WAIT, there's more. Just by entering the contest you'll automatically receive a $20 gift code to JORD!

If you want to enter the give away, you can do so HERE

Good luck, contest ends September 25th! (:

Where are your favorite places to buy watches? I would love to know so I can start adding more members to my watch family! As always, thank you for reading and hope you all have a wonderful day!
