Pink Talks v.20 + Reader Survey!

Blogger Brunch

Last Saturday I headed to Tupelo Honey Cafe with Katie of Chic in Carolina for a fun little blogger brunch! It was so fun getting to catch up since our last little get together. After brunch we walked around South End a bit for blog photos and to let our tummies digest from all the yummy food we just ate! 

Jadelynn Brooke Spring Rep 2017

Lilly Pulitzer + Starbucks Collaboration

If you didn't hear, Lilly Pulitzer and Starbucks collaborated and came out with 4 Lilly printed Swell bottles on Wednesday! I was so excited to hear about the collaboration, but knew that these bottles would sell out quickly. I called up my local Starbucks and headed over at 6:30am to purchase my Swell bottle and have been in love with it! Did you manage to snag a Lilly Swell bottle? If so, let me know what print you got!

Duck Donuts

Wednesday RJ and I ventured out to Dilworth to try out the infamous Duck Donuts! I've heard so much about Duck Donuts from my friends and on Instagram so I knew I had to give them a try... and they did not disappoint at all! RJ tried the famous maple bacon donut and surprisingly enjoyed it! My top pick that I tried definitely had to be the peanut butter and chocolate donut.. anything peanut butter and chocolate is a win in my book! If you're in the Charlotte area or visiting anytime soon, I definitely would recommend checking Duck Donuts out! 
Valentine's Day?? RJ and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day late this year. RJ had to work on Valentine's day and I had a late night class so we decided to move it this weekend (we're actually going out to dinner tonight!). This actually works out great in my opinion because I get to snag all the Valentine's Day candy for RJ's present for major discount. Super cheap or super smart? You tell me! I told RJ we need to start celebrating all of the holidays a couple days later so we can save some $$ on candy, gifts, etc! haha! 



Recent Purchases J.Crew Sidewalk Skirt I recently picked up the infamous J.Crew sidewalk skirt and I am in love! I have been meaning to pick up this skirt for a while now and I am so glad that I did. I low key want one in every color!!
Zebra Skirt I am a sucker for animal printed items... and by animal print I mean prints of actual zebras instead of zebra print. This skirt would be so fun for the holidays, but unfortunately it's a little bit aways.. haha!

Pink Talks v.19

Welcome back to another Pink Talks post! If you're new around here, Pink Talks is a series on my blog where I update you all on what I've been doing, buying, loving and everything in between! We've got lots to cover this week so let's just jump right into it!

What I've been doing...

Fideli's Kitchen

If you follow me on Instagram then you may have saw on my story about how one of the biggest struggles for me is trying to find somewhere to eat. RJ and I always want to try new places in Charlotte, but always draw a blank on where to go. Some of you reached out and gave some AWESOME food suggestions on where to eat in Charlotte and I cannot wait to check them out! Thank you to all those of you who reached out! Also, if you have a favorite place to eat in the Charlotte area, please let me know!
Any who, one of the new places we ended up trying was Fidelli's Kitchen. I had heard about this place on Instagram and we went on a whim to check it out and oh my goodness did it not disappoint! I wanted to go to mainly try their pizza cone and it was everything I ever wanted and more. They didn't have a vegetarian version, so I just ordered a meatball cone... without the meatballs haha. The dish is basically pasta and veggies piled into a bread cone. If you're in the Charlotte area I highly suggest visiting Fidel's Kitchen in South End!

Wedding!

Saturday I was able to watch one of my high school friends get married! I'm still in disbelief that I'm starting to get to the point in my life where my friends are getting married, but it's also super exciting. The wedding was beautiful and it so good to dance and hang out with my friends I've gone to high school with.

Wedding guest dress - blush floral dress If you follow me on Instagram than you know that I was on hunt for a dress for the wedding I attended on Saturday. I asked for your opinions on what dress I should choose, and ended up going with the blush floral one (i know, I have a slight obsession with blush lately..). It was so fun taking you all shopping with me and I may take you all shopping with me again via Instagram stories so be sure to follow me so you don't miss out! 
Jeweled earrings To go with the dress I picked up these beautiful jeweled earrings. I have been on a major statement earring kick lately (as you'll notice in this post) and can't get enough of them! Tassel Earrings (super similar ones here)
If you guys shop on BaubleBar then you may know that they have a thing called "the buried bauble"
If you all didn't know, Target and Baublebar came together for a collaboration and I couldn't be more excited! I hopped online on Super Bowl Sunday and ordered a few pieces and I can't wait for them to arrive! I managed to order: -Beaded tassel earrings -Druzy Drop earrings -Cluster drop earrings Have you checked out the collection yet? If not you have to! They have so many great pieces and great prices!

Pink Talks v.18

Happy Friday friends!
I hope you all had a wonderful week! These past week I have been trying to adjust going back to school for my last semester and trying to fathom that my time in school is coming to an end. How did time go by so fast?! 
Today's Pink Talks I'm excited to share what I've been up to including what I've been watching and my recent Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale purchases. Now, let's get started, shall we?

What I've been doing...

2017 in video I have decided that I want to start filming little snips and clips of my day everyday for a whole year to eventually compile them into a video at the end of year. Hopefully I can keep up with this through out the year and maybe I'll even share it on the blog with you all!

Capture Your Style

I have really wanted to start making an effort and start reading more this year. I recently picked up Amiee Song's book, Capture Your Style from Marshalls and have been love reading through it! This book is perfect for any fashion lover, blogger or someone who just loves taking photos! If you haven't yet, I highly recommend picking it up.

Lemony Snicket and the Series of Unfortunate Events I read this series when I was younger, saw the movie and was SO excited to hear about the series on Netflix. I have been binge watching the first season this past week and am already impatiently waiting for the second season!! It's so good and I have so many questions and theories. IHC January Meet Up

Sunday I was able to attend a blogger meet up via InfluencerHer Collective. We spent the day on the Funny Bus learning more about Charlotte and laughing along the way. I was able to attend the meet up with Annalise of Southern Belle in Training, Cara of Caralina Style and I got to meet Savanna of Sweet and Savy Blog. It was such a fun afternoon hearing more about Charlotte and we even got to stop to eat at one of my favorite pizza places in Charlotte, Benny Pannello's! If you haven't been to Benny Pannello's it's a small hole in the wall pizza place located in NoDa. They serve giant pizza slices all for $4 - $5! If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend it!

Recent Purchases...

My After Party Sale purchases came in! I managed to get a pair of shorts in Ugotta Regatta and I love them! These ones are super similar!
I also picked up a skort during the APS and am in love with it! I can't wait to share it with you all once I figure out how to style it. Speaking of skorts, this one is on the site is one of my favorites and want to add it to my collection!

Welcome to the first Pink Talks of the new year! I am excited to share what I've been up to this past couple of weeks while I was home and my recent purchases. The after Christmas sales were SO good this year and I couldn't help myself... so without further ado, let's see what I've been up to!

What I've been doing...
Chinese Lantern Festival

Last week my family and I made a trip to Centennial Park in Atlanta to see the Chinese Lantern Festival. It was so great to spend time with family and take a look at all the beautiful lanterns! I always love visiting Centennial Park during the holiday season because they always have it decorated so beautifully and it's always fun seeing Christmas lights. I wished we had gone a little earlier so there was light out for blog photos!

Watercoloring my life away

If you all see my last Pink Talks, then you know I have been recently into watercolor painting. I have always done a lot of acrylic paintings in the past and still love doing them, but it's been fun experimenting with watercolors lately!

PopBar

On Wednesday RJ and I had visited Popbar in Noda and it was DELICIOUS. I mean, I already love gelato, but make it in popsicle form? In love. Popbar's grand opening is tomorrow if you're in the Charlotte area I highly recommend checking it out!

Recent purchases...
Like I said, I kind of went a little crazy with shopping lately with all the sales going on.. #whoops. 
Red pleated midi skirt Midi skirts have been everywhere lately and I have been wanting to try this trend out for a while now. While shopping the after Christmas sales last week, I came across this beautiful red pleated midi skirt and for an AWESOME price. I scored this piece for $6 and cannot wait to style it!
Blue suede skirt We all know that I have a slight obsession with my pink suede skirt that I picked up last year for Black Friday. It's one of my most worn pieces and has styled it on the blog multiple times. I thought it was time to add another suede skirt to my collection to add some variety. I picked up a blue version of this suede skirt with some fun lacing and can already tell I'm going to have so much fun styling it!
(similar) Suede nude flats Flats are a staple for me! Heels are uncomfortable and since I walk to class every day, flat shoes are a must for me. I scored these flats for less than $10 and love them! Unfortunately, those flats are already sold out, but I have linked some super similar ones for you all and they're only $15!
Black pointed toe heels I've been on the hunt for some black heels for a friend's wedding I'm attending next month and these ones just might be the winning pair! I'm so excited for them to come in!
Adidas Superstars Ok, I did it. I caved. I bought the infamous Adidas Superstars. I have been on a hunt for a pair of comfy and casual sneakers for a while and every time I was on the hunt for a pair these ones were the first to come to mind! I cannot wait to start experimenting and styling these!!
I also shopped the After Party Sale yesterday. I'll be sure to share my purchases with you all once they come in!

Welcome back to another Pink Talks post! As most of you know this past week was finals week for me. It's been pretty hectic with wrapping up the semester, getting ready to head home and all the holiday festivities going on. So without further ado, let's jump right in to what I've been up to!
Also, can we take a note that today's Pink Talks is number 16 and it's the last Pink Talks for 2016?? How funny!

What I've been doing...
Finishing finals week

As many of you know last week was finals week for me. I managed to finish the semester with pretty (decent) grades and am just happy to have winter break to recharge for the next semester!

Getting in the Christmas spirit

If you follow me on Twitter then you saw I had decorated my room a bit for the holidays while I was procrastination on my study break. I love this little banner I made out of construction paper and I low key I want to keep it up all year around!

Christmas dinner party

To celebrate the last day of exams I hosted a little Christmas dinner party at my apartment. it was so fun to be able to hang out with my school friends before we all head home for the holidays! 

Annalise's Christmas party

The next day I had went over to Annalies's for her Christmas party. It was so good to see her again and to meet all of her broadcasting school friends. I also was able to try her famous "cocktail," Bailey's and hot chocolate... SO GOOD.
After Annailes's party, RJ and I went to a friend's graduation party and it was so good to hang out and congratulate our friend on all of his accomplishments. It's been fun celebrating with my friends this past weekend and relaxing now that finals is finally over!

Back home in the mountains

I came back to my hometown for the Holidays on Sunday and am excited to spend some time with my family! I've spent the week stuffing my face with delicious home cook meals, exploring with my family and trying to get ahead on all of my blog work. 

Painting away

I recently picked up a watercolor kit before finals and have been hooked on making prints and cards! It's been so fun making Christmas cards to send out to my friends and family this year and it's low key been hard for me to send them out because I want to keep them all! 

What I've Been Loving...

And that's what I've been up to! I hope you all have been enjoying this year's Blogmas series! Today marks the last post in this series and I cannot believe it's already over. Heck, I can't believe that it's Christmas on Sunday!! I'm excited to spend some time with my family this weekend and to stuff my face with alllll the Christmas cookies. #YUM

Pink Talks v.15

This week marked the last day of my fall semester in college and the start of finals week. *cries* Although I'm super sad that my college career is coming to an end so fast, I am excited for winter break! I can't wait to share with you all what I've been up to lately and my recent purchases. So let's get started now, shall we?

What I've been doing...
SouthPark Blogger Brunch

If you followed me on Instagram or Snapchat then you may have saw that I attended a fun blogger brunch at SouthPark Mall with some blogger gals! The morning was filled with delicious food, mimosas and lots of fashion talk. It was so fun to meet some new friends and listen to the latest winter trends.
Also, can we take a second to admire the set up of the brunch?? Way too pretty and they even had stockings for each of us with our names on it! Too cute! The brunch was so fun and I want to thank Simon Properties for the invite!


Wrapping up the semester
Wednesday was the last day my fall semester and the start of finals week. Thankfully I don't have too crazy of a work load this week and don't have to stress too much. It's crazy to think the semester is already over and I only have one more semester left!

Recent purchases...
Black Friday and Cyber Monday was this past weekend and I may or may not went a little crazy. #whoops I've actually started to do hauls on my IG snaps right when I get new pieces if you all want to check out what I picked up right when I pick them up. I have also linked my purchases on the sidebar of my blog for you all too!
One of my favorite purchase from Black Friday has to be these pixie pants. They are SO COMFORTABLE an I want them in every color. 
I also picked up a new laptop sleeve and am IN LOVE with it. It's probably the prettiest thing ever and it makes me happy every time I pull it out of my bag!
I ordered these sassy flats and am (im)patiently waiting for them to come in the mail!
Another favorite purchase of mine has to be this darling little dress! I am also waiting for this to come in the mail and cannot wait to try it on!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and was able to stuff your bellies full of delicious food! This has been a pretty jammed pack two weeks month and I'm excited to share with you all what I've been up to as of late! What I've been doing... Panthers Football Game

Last Thursday RJ and I went to go see the Panthers vs. Saints game for a late birthday gift for RJ! This was my second Panthers game and it was so fun to see the Panthers and cheer them on live! 


Roomie's Birthday Brunch

My roommate's birthday was this past weekend and we celebrated her birthday at the best brunch place (in my opinion) in Charlotte! I've mentioned Fahrenheit multiple times on my blog and I think it has one of the best views of Charlotte. Also, the best Captain Crunch pancakes ever, SO GOOD. 


Capstone Project

For the past 3 months my life as pretty much revolved around my senior marketing capstone project. The main gist of our project is that we are put into a group and have to develop a marketing plan for a company that has agreed to partner up with our University. This past week my group had made it into the semi finals for the project competition, but unfortunately didn't make it into the finals. Even though it is sad that even though we've worked so hard on this project and we didn't make it to the finals, I'm super thankful to have gotten closet to my group and had some great laughs along the way. Also super glad to finally have that project be over with, one step closer to graduation!!

Cheers to 4 years!

Tuesday marked 4 years for RJ and I. HOLY COW. Unfortunately RJ had to work that evening so we just celebrated with a late night dinner at Ink and Ivy (which was DELICIOUS). If you haven't tried Ink and Ivy yet in Charlotte yet, you have to! It's such a fun atmosphere and such yummy food (and drinks!).

Thanksgiving

We all know that Thanksgiving is up there on my list of favorite holidays. This year we decided to head over to my aunt's house to spend Thanksgiving. The evening will filled with (tons) of yummy foods, laughs and catching up with one another. It's always so great to see family, especially not that we're all older and are busy with our own lives and don't get to see each other as often!
Recent Purchases...
I have been on a hunt for some new business casual / business professional attire for my wardrobe. I managed to find this adorable pencil skirt from Marshalls for an awesome price and cannot wait to start styling it!
I also picked up this super cute Carolina Panthers scarf for the game RJ and I went to Thursday. I always thought these scarfs were so cute and is a great accessory to throw on with a simple all black outfit to look festive without being too over the top. 


Whew! I feel like that was a TON of stuff to update you all on! Like I said, life has been super busy lately and I cannot believe it's all going by so fast!!
