Happy Friday friends!
I hope you all are doing well! As promised, I'm sharing a recap of my birthday with you all. I had such a fun time celebrating my birthday with my friends and my heart is so full with all the kind words and love from everyone.

First off, I apologize for not having a post up yesterday. I had every intentions of posting a birthday themed post yesterday, but with the end of the year wrapping up time just got the best of me. Today to make up for it, I' sharing a recap of my 21st birthday yesterday with you all!
In a previous post I had mentioned for some reason I wasn't super excited for my birthday this year. Something about me is that I really don't like change. Turning another year older meant more responsibilities and more adulating (which, I low key suck at haha), but as the days to my birthday came closer and closer I realize maybe growing up isn't such a bad thing after all. I mean, we can't help that we're getting older, so why not embrace it?
WOW. Sorry, did not mean to go into some rant about how life is short, but thought it would be fun to share my thought process with you all. Now, without further ado, here's my birthday recap! (:
From the second it turned midnight my birthday was filled with so much love. I started the day off with a traditional birthday breakfast with RJ! Funny thing is, we always go to IHOP for my birthday breakfast (which BTW sign up online and they'll send you free pancakes for your birthday!) but the IHOP we usually go to was being renovated that morning. /: We decided to head off to Panera instead, which is always just as good. (: I got a chance to enjoy my favorite breakfast sandwich and a free coffee cake for my birthday!
After breakfast I headed off to class to take my Business Law exam. If you follow me on Twitter (which, btw, you should because sometimes I like to think I'm funny on there! haha) you may know that I have been trying to get out of my exams due to the fact it was my birthday week. Follow up on that, apparently your 21st birthday isn't a valid excuse for getting out of an exam..
Thankfully I only had one class yesterday and was able to enjoy the rest of my day with some friends! I came back to my apartment and was surprised to see that my lovely roomies had decorated my door for my birthday! I had also opened some gifts from friends and am truly so lucky to have some amazing people in my life.
One of my gifts was a selfie stick from my friend Kody! It's one of those gifts where I would never purchase one for myself, but would get a big kick out of it if I was gifted it. Not going to lie, this was up there with my favorite gifts I have ever received... haha!
The only thing I had planned to do for my actual birthday was a dinner at Fahrenheit, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite places in Charlotte! Before dinner RJ and I headed out to take some (outfit) shots for the blog!
Being the fashion - obsessed girl that I am, it was so hard for me to settle on a birthday dress to wear. I told one of my friends that I wanted to look "twenty-fun, but still like a classy grandma." hahaha. I finally settled on a royal blue shift dress and my favorite wedges! If you've been following me for a while, you know I love shift dresses, especially for dinners because they hide your food baby!
Once we got to dinner I was able to order my first legal drink! Nothing screams "classy grandma" than a glass of white wine!
White Sweater: American Eagle (similar) // Jeans: America Eagle // Shoes: Forever 21 (super old, similar here) // Necklace: Francescas (similar) // Tote: Nordstrom (under $50!) // Watch: Michael Kors (similar) // Chain Bracelet: J. Crew Factory (similar)
Happy Friday friends! Finally the weekend is heeeerrreee!
I feel like this past week has flown by and I haven't been too productive (oops). With the semester starting to wrap up, my birthday quickly approaching, and I have a wedding I'm attending at the end of the month I can't afford to start slacking now.
With all the errands I have been running back and forth with this reversible tote has been my go-to bag lately. It's so roomy and the best part is I can change it from pink to tan to go with any outfit! Originally I had ordered this tote for work so I could fit everything I needed in one bag instead of lugging around 4 different ones, but next thing I knew it this baby has been going everywhere with me. If you all are in the market for an affordable tote bag, be sure to check it out! It comes in lots of other colors as well!
To keep the trend of my birthday week going I thought it would be fun to share with you all 21 things about me in honor of my 21st birthday! Not gonna lie, it was kind of hard trying to think of 21 things to share with you all, but I hope you find out some new things about me!
- I was born in Pennsylvania in the city of brotherly love!
- I danced for 10 years (and miss it so much!).
- I also cheerlead for 4 years!
- My parents owned a restaurant for 20+ years so I was practically born with a serving platter and apron in hand.
- I had a YouTube channel for about 3 years and stopped my junior year of high school. My channel mainly consisted of me sharing my personal style and let's just say it was a blessing for everyone that I took my channel down, haha.
- I started blogging because I still wanted to share my interest in fashion, but didn't want to go through making YouTube videos again.
- I've always wanted a little baby kitten until I found out I am allergic to cats. *tears* I even had the perfect name picked out too! I wanted a white, blue eyed kitten named Mango!
- I did show choir in high school for 4 years which allowed me to travel and performed all over the United States.
- I performed at Universal Studios in California my sophomore year of high school
- I sworn off soda in middle school and haven't taken a sip of it since
- I don't eat any beef or pork. It's not for any religious reasons, I just don't like it and for health reasons as well.
- I have a slight obsession with planners. I have 2 that I currently use, one for blogging and one for school / work!
- I've had a pet parrot before
- My favorite flowers are daisies and peonies
- I don't like Cookout or Chipotle (I know, I'm weird)
- My graduating class in high school was 93 students. #smalltownprobs
- My go to condiments are ranch and mustard
- Fruits make up pretty much 70% of my diet
- I am terrified of needles.
- Wrists freak me out also.
- I don't wear makeup, partially because I don't know how to put it on and partially because I just prefer not to.
I hope you all learned a couple new things about me. Let me know if you can relate to any of these down in the comments! I hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend and I'll be back Monday!

Happy Birthday to me!! Today I said goodbye to my teenage years and said hello to my twenties! (This sounds so weird.) It's weird to think that I'm 20 years old now, I still accidentally tell people I'm 17! This past weekend my friends and I celebrated my birthday and it was filled with laughter and a ton of sweets. The weekend started off with dancing the night away on Thursday, Carowinds on Friday and a birthday dinner on Saturday.
Saturday night we went to a restaurant in Uptown called Blue. It's one of my favorites and the bread is amazing! I wore this girly shoulder cut out dress to dinner with some brown wedges. After dinner we decided to explore uptown. Our adventure consisted of a street magic show, creeping on high school proms and searching for dessert. Needless to say I had a wonderful birthday weekend. Here's to entering my twenties!
