Putting away my floral prints, light pinks and tassel earrings in today's outfit styling. Today I'm sharing an outfit pairing featuring a new accessory that's a little different than my usual outfits, but I'm low key not hating it!

Happy Wednesday friends!

One of my favorite things about fashion is getting to experiment with different trends and styles to create so many different looks. I’m a firm believer that what you wear has an impact on how you’re feeling that day. I mean, we all have that power color (mine’s hot pink!) that makes us feel like we can take on the world.

Like I said in my “Let’s talk about personal style” post, I’m wanting to experiment with clothes more this year and wear things I wouldn’t normally wear. I recently received this beautiful tribal necklace from the Sugarfix by Bauble Bar collection at Target. Even though the necklace is beautiful, it’s not something I would personally reach for. I thought about how I always like a good challenge (especially a style one!) and wanted to see how I could take this necklace and incorporate it into a more “Amy” outfit.

After many outfit combinations later I came up with this look! This outfit gives me a major New Yorker on the go vibes, but I’m not hating. I actually think this look might be cute with the white button-down untucked and tied into a knot for a less polished look.

Overall I’m so happy with how this outfit came together and feel like I can take on the world in it. I guess it goes to show that sometimes we need to be “pushed” outside of our fashion comfort zone once in a while just like anything in life.

Speaking about stepping outside of our comfort zone... I recently picked up a second part-time job! I am trying my hand at retail and it's a little different than I thought it would be. I'm pretty shy at first and forcing myself to step out and approach people immediately is a little challenging to me. Hopefully I'll get a hang of it soon! Have any of you worked retail before? Let me know if you have any tips down below! I hope you all have a wonderful day and as always, thank you for reading!
