Ever since I signed the lease to my new apartment I have been pinning and daydreaming for the day I get to finally move out and decorate my own space. Fast forward a couple months and I've finally started to get around to decorating my space!!

Hi Friends!

I'm so excited to share some of my favorite home decor pieces with you all today. I have been pinning room ideas for my new apartment for what seems like MONTHS now and I'm so excited for it to (slowly) come together.

I've gone back and forth on how much I wanted to deck out my room. I know I won't be staying in this space past this lease term, but I also wanted a space that felt homey. Knowing I won't be in this space long I didn't want to invest too much in my decor.  Almost everything I've shared here is less than $50, with the most expensive piece being $80.

A few of my favorite places to shop for room decor that is also wallet-friendly are:

  • Wal-Mart - I feel like they've been stepping up their game lately! I purchased this nightstand from there and my living room couch from there. I also have my eye on this full-length mirror that's less than $100!
  • Target - A solid OG. Their home decor gets me every time. I've purchased my bedding there all of my bathroom decors from there.
  • TJ Maxx / Marshalls / HomeGoods - The go-to place for all home decor. The prices are pretty affordable and I love how there's constantly new things being brought in.
  • Amazon - 2-day shipping and so much to choose from! Quality is always hit or miss, but I've found some gems such as this clothing rack and jewelry organizer.
  • IKEA - Are you really a post-grad student if your entire apartment isn't furnished from IKEA?
  • H&M - For the longest time I didn't know that H&M even had a home decor line! There are some cute accent pieces that I've been eyeing
  • Francesca's - My go-to place for little jewelry tray trinkets and canvases!
  • Facebook Market - I pretty much stalk FB Market at least twice a day for the pieces listed. This is great for my fellow gals shopping on a budget, just make sure you're safe about it!
Where are your favorite places to shop for home decor? I'd love to know in the comments down below! I hope you all have a great week and as always, thank you for reading!

xoxo,
Amy
