Long time no outfit post, I know. Ya girl is coming back at ya full force with an outfit that I've been living in the past few months... athleisure wear! I mean, comfort > everything, am I right? Today I'm spilling all the tea on my favorite workout leggings and the best part is that they're super affordable!

WOW, it's been a hot hot second since I've posted any type of outfit styling for you all! To keep things short and to the point, there have been some changes going on behind the scenes here on the blog just want to take a quick second to thank all of you who have been so patient with me and continued to follow along with me on this journey. You guys are the real MVPs!! The one thing I've learned this past year is life hits ya with unexpected changes and you just gotta roll with the punches.
SO, with that said let's get into the fun stuff... like these bomba$$ leggings!!
If you guys follow me on Instagram (which, if you aren't I definitely recommend that you do. It's a fun time over there!), you may have noticed me posting a lot about me getting my booty to the gym lately. For those of you who have been following for a while know that I enjoy working out and have posted about it a few times on the blog (like my workout playlist and this cute workout outfit!), but this past year I have definitely fallen off the fitness train.
During my time living at Disney for my college program, I may or may not have indulged in one (or ten) too many Mickey bars and gone to a few too many character breakfast buffets. But hey, it's fine, it happens and you only live at Disney once am I right? But with all of that, I may have skipped out on a gym day or two (6 months to be exact).
So that brings us to now with me getting back into a gym routine (summer 2k19 I'm lookin' at you!). I've said it multiple times that I'm a firm believer that if you have cute workout clothes you are more likely to get your booty to the gym. If you follow Cara from CaralinaStyle then you may know the girl has major style inspo for the gym and is the queen of wearing color to workout.
She has definitely given me some inspiration to have more fun with my workout attire lately which is funny because we tend to have a problem with matching with each other since we have similar styles! Now, to be completely honest with you all, for the longest time I was NOT a leggings girl when it comes to working out. I love cardio and every time I wore leggings they would just not stay up when I workout or I would feel like my legs are suffocating in them... it was not a fun time.
These leggings that I have been obsessed with are from Old Navy and the "official" name for them is the high-rise 7/8 length compression leggings for women. Whew, kinda a mouth full, but the name can be a paragraph long and I'd still buy them. Some highlights with this style of leggings that I love:
- It's high-rise! I realized the key for having leggings stay up comfortably is to make sure they are high-rise
- They aren't see through.... a big must for leggings
- 7/8 length - these are my preferred length because they hit me right at the ankle! I'm 5'4" for reference!
- They come in so many cute designs!
- They're super affordable! Is me or is activewear superrrrr expensive?? These are usually priced around $32.99, but there usually is some type of sale/coupon floating around which makes them even more affordable!
