Reviewing beauty samples

Happy Friday friends!

One of the perks of blogging is getting to try some awesome products that I never would have thought to pick up for myself. Over the past few months, I have accumulated a variety of samples through blogger events, sponsor packages and just various samples I've gotten from family and thought it'd be fun to do a little review of them for you all!

All of the products are skin and hair products as I gift my mom all of my makeup products because we all know that I am not a makeup wearer.. haha. I also made sure to mention in each review if I would purchase the full size of the product myself as well as if I think it's worth it! Now without further ado, let's jump right into the reviews!

Vanity Planet shampoo massager

Vanity Planet - Groove Scalp Massaging Shampoo Brush c/o
I have to admit I was a little skeptical about this product when I first received it. This device does take some getting used to at first, but it does a good job of giving you a nice little message in the shower. You just put the shampoo in your hair or on the device and let it massage into your scalp while it lathers up the soap. Not something I'd use every time I wash my hair, but it's a nice little thing to grab for when you're wanting your shower to feel a little bit more luxurious.

Vanity planet hair mask

Vanity Planet - Moisturizing and Restorative Hair Treatment c/o
I have been a big fan of hair masks as of late. I think it is partially due to me curling my hair more and I want to make sure my hair stays healthy. This hair mask is super thick but left my hair super moisturized. You leave the product in for about 30 - 40 minutes and afterward your hair feels super soft and silky! I got about 3 -4 uses out of this product with my long thick hair!

Origins moisturizer review

Origins - Ginzing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer c/o
This stuff is AMAZING! I love the smell of it and I definitely think it does perk my skin up in the morning. The moisturizer has a nice light citrus smell that's great for waking you up in the morning. I'm pretty picky about face moisturizers and have been using my Olay one for years, but I may consider switching over to this product. The only downside is the hefty price tag of $27.50.

Origins night a mins review

Origins - Night-A-Mins Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream c/o
This is a great night time moisturizer. The product absorbed quickly into my skin and isn't heavy at all. To give you a little background of my skin, I wouldn't say my skin is necessary very dry or very oily. The only dry spots I have on my face is my nose (it peels all the time), and I've used this and think I am starting to see some improvement! I have only been testing this out for about two weeks but have been impressed so far. The product does come with a $43 price tag and I am not sure if I can justify investing that much for a product.

Origins charcoal mask review

Origins - Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores c/o
I'm sure you've seen a million and one charcoal products all over social media. This was my first charcoal mask and I have to admit, I was a little disappointed that it wasn't a peel off mask. Also, the mask is marked to clear your pores and I'm not sure if it did just that. The mask made my skin uncomfortably tight and I'm not sure if it's just my skin or what.

*I do have to say I have only tried this mask once. I may try it again and update you all on my thoughts afterward!

Origins frothy face wash review

Origins - Frothy Face Wash c/o
This has to be my second favorite (behind the Ginzing Face lotion) product I tried! This face wash makes my face feel squeaky clean and I love the light mint scent of it. The main downside of it is that I do like my skin washes to be exfoliating and this product doesn't do that. Besides that, I think this is a great product and think this is a great product to try out!

Loccitan milk body lotion review

L'Occitan Milk Concentrate Body Lotion c/o
I had mentioned that I was pretty picky about my face moisturizers, especially since I have pretty sensitive skin, but I'm more open to try out and experiment with different body lotions. I received a small sample of this L'Occitan lotion in a blogging gift bag and loved how it smells! It is made with almond milk which is a big plus in my book since I love all things almond. This product is super moisturizing and feels very light on my skin.

Are there any products you tried as of late that you absolutely love? Let me know in the comments down below! I hope you all have a wonderful day and as always, thank you for reading!
