Uh oh, what did I get myself into? I mean, RJ has been with me for 4+ years and have been shooting all of my outfit photos so I shouldn't have anything to worry about, right? We'll let's see how He did...

My boyfriend styled me for a week

Happy Friday friends!

Many of you already know my boyfriend RJ. For those of you who are new around here, typically I'm the one styling the outfits and RJ takes all of my photos for me here on Pastel N Pink. This past week we thought it would be fun to switch things up a bit and have him style me for a week. It was interesting having someone pick out my outfits every day for me, but it did relieve me from the daily struggle of "what do I wear today?!?!"

I do have to say it was funny seeing him trying to explain his thought process behind each outfit. he was so nervous to show me all of them!! As I show you each outfit I decided it'd be fun to do a little rating system. For each outfit, I'll rate give it a rating on if I'd actually wear it out again with 1 being "no way!" and 10 being "YES, I love it!"

So, without further ado, let's see what RJ styled for me!

Outfit 1 - "Casual Everyday Wear"
Casual summer look
Tribal Top (old) || Jean Shorts || DIY Shoes (tutorial on how to make them HERE, also check out how I originally styled them HERE) || Necklace || Michael Kors Wallet

I told RJ that if he was a girl he'd probably be wearing this exact outfit, haha! RJ is all about tribal printed items, canvas sneakers and being comfy and casual. I actually forgot how much I loved this periwinkle tribal printed top because it's SO soft! There's a little lot of blue on blue going on here with a pop of pink.

Overall I don't hate the outfit and it is perfect for running around for everyday wear. For this outfit, I would give it a solid 9 on if I would wear it out again! Off to a great start!

Outfit 2 - "Festival Ready"
Festival ready outfit
Floral Tank (old, similar HERE) || Jean Shorts || Sandals (old, similar HERE) || Cat Clutch (old, but this one is just as cute!) || Choker Necklace c/o || Kate Spade Bangles (gift, similar HERE)

For this next outfit, RJ said he had envisioned me going to some kind of outdoor concert. I totally get the summer concert vibes he's going for in this, but I'm not sure about the sandals if I were going to go to an outdoor concert, #savethetoes. Other than that I think this is a cute summery outfit and can totally see myself sporting this at a little summer BBQ!

Overall for this outfit, I would give it about an 8ish for if I'd wear it again. If I were to style this I would probably take the choker off and throw on some fun tassel earrings like this one

Outfit 3 - "Pineapples"
Pineapple shorts for the summer
White Top (I styled it HERE and HERE) || Pineapple Shorts (old, similar HERE) || Gold Sandals (old, similar HERE)  || Kate Spade Purse (similar HERE) || Gold Earrings c/o (very similar HERE) || Tiffany and Co Necklace || Alex and Ani Bracelet: Initial, Pineapple, Unicorn

GUYS. If only you could hear RJ's thought process when styling this outfit. He totally went all out with the pineapple theme, even if it's not super obvious. He first picked out the pineapple shorts to be the focal point of the outfit. Then he paired the gold sandals since they were yellow like a pineapple, added my pineapple Alex and Ani bracelet and my Lilly Pulitzer studs that he said reminded him of pineapples.

I don't know if I'd put that much thought into pairing an outfit together, but it was so cute hearing his thought process. I really do like this outfit and can even see a little bit of mixing metals going on in this look. Overall I'd give this a 9.5 for if I'd wear it out!

Outfit 4 - "Midnight Cocktails"
Floral romper
Romper (Marshall's find, similar HERE) || Wedges || Kate Spade Purse (similar HERE) || Similar Necklace || Pearl Cuff

In case you hadn't notice, I wasn't styled in any large statement necklaces or earrings for any of my outfits. RJ said he's really into smaller daintier jewelry. Hey, I guess we all have different tastes!

For this look, he styled me in this black floral romper (which I actually wore on my 22nd birthday!), some wedges, my black and white Kate Spade bag and a few pieces of jewelry. I feel like since he paired the romper with some nude(ish) wedges my legs look miles long in this outfit, which I don't hate. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the long silver necklace with this look, but I do like the little studs he paired with it.

Overall I would have to give this outfit rating maybe a 7? I like it, but if I would have to wear it out I'd probably take the necklace off and trade in the shoes for some comfy flats because comfort > everything.

Outfit 5 - "Dance Friendly"
Summer night out outfit
Black Lace Crop Top (Marshall's find, similar HERE) || Peach Skort (see how I styled it HERE) || Beaded Sandals (old, similar HERE) || Layered Necklace c/o via Rocksbox (use code: PASTELNPINKBLOGXOXO for your first month free!) || Brahmin Bag c/o || Similar Elephant Bracelet

This last outfit was what RJ was most nervous to share but ended up being his favorite look! He said this would be my "clubbing" outfit if I decided to go out on the town. I actually wouldn't have thought to pair this little crop top with this skort, but I don't hate it! I do like the layered necklace he chose to pair with this look, I think it gives it a nice "something-something."

Overall I would give this outfit an 8 ish only because I felt a little uncomfortable wearing a crop top...

So, how did RJ do? Let me know in the comments down below if you think he did a great job or his styling needs some work. Also, let me know if you'd like to see a post where I styled him for a week! I think that'd be so fun and we'd totally be down to make one of those posts for you all. Be sure to let me know which outfit was your favorite as well! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and as always, thank you for reading!
