It's no surprise that I love the dress up. One of my favorite things about high school was all of the dances and formal events we had to dress up for. Unfortunately, I didn't get a whole lot of chances to get dressed up in college, but if I had an occasion to I would totally sport this outfit!

Happy Monday friends!

One of the things I really wished I got to experience in college was going to some type of formal. Typically formals are for those who are in a fraternity or sorority or if you get asked to be a date. Since I wasn't in a sorority and I wasn't going to be asked to be someone's date because I had a boyfriend, going to formals just wasn't going to happen to me.

I feel like if I had a chance to attend a formal or some kind of date function I would love to wear some kind of dress like this! I'm not really one to like low cut shirts and I'm always a sucker for cute back detailing so this little black dress is right up my alley. This dress comes in several other colors and I think it would be a fun piece to wear for a fun night out with girlfriends!

In high school, my favorite events were always winter formals, prom, and homecoming. Even though taking photos with friends and dancing the night away is always fun, I always liked the pampering and getting ready part the most. Is anyone else like that?? So even though I didn't get a chance to attend a formal event during my time in college, I still get to have my fun getting ready and dressed up for blog shots (which happen way more frequently than formals!) so I guess it all worked out. Plus, I can always turn some music and dance while we take photos so it's pretty much the same thing, right?

I do have the worn that with the cut out on this dress, someone can easily stand behind you and look right down the back of your dress. I actually wore black Nike pros under my dress and I think it works out fine!

Did you get a chance to attend a formal in college? Let me know down below and what you wore! I hope you all are having a wonderful Memorial day and as always, thank you for reading!
