Happy Monday friends!

The holiday of all things pink and red is quickly coming upon us! In spirit of Valentine's day, I'm sharing lots of Valentine's day outfit ideas this week that would be perfect for date night or night on the town with your girl friends.

Today I'm starting the week off with this adorable pink dress. Something about the combination of the color, drop waist and overall fit of this dress has got me heart eyes over it! This dress would be perfect for any date night and totally be transitioned into every day wear.

The weather here in North Carolina suddenly decided it would be time to actually cool down and start feeling like winter so tights are a must lately. These particular tights are a thicker ribbed material and is great for adding extra warmth. Pairing black shoes and tights are a go to for me because it gives the illusion of longer legs and it's always a plus for me.

Do you all have any plans for Valentine's day yet? Let me know in the comments down below. I'm not sure if I have any set plans yet, but I'll be sure to share on my social media channels if I do! Have a great Monday friends!

Most Worn Pieces

Green Anorak (also styled here) || Similar Stripped shirt  || Similar Blanket Scarf HERE and HERE || Black Jeans || Black Flats || Similar Reversible Tote

Happy Friday friends!

Can we just take a quick minute and say a quick hooray that it's Friday?! TGIF for sure! It has only been the second week of the semester and I already feel like I'm starting to get worn out... let's hope I find motivation to keep pushing this semester and I find it quick!

Now for today's outfit!

If you follow me on Instagram then a lot of these pieces may seem familiar to you... actually very familiar to you. These pieces are some of my most worn clothing pieces from this past fall and winter, they're so versitle can you really blame me??

Green Anorak
This has to be is my most worn jacket. Something about it instantly makes me feel like my outfit is way more effortlessly put together.. even if it's just paired with a tee and leggings. The only down side is this jacket doesn't give too much warmth, which I guess works out since we've had such a mild winter here in Charlotte!

Striped Shirt
Gimmie all the stripes! I have been really into stripes lately and this stripped tunic has been such a great neutral piece to pair with pretty much anything. Unfortunately this exact top is sold out, but I linked a similar one for you all!

Black Skinny Jeans
Incase you guys haven't picked up on this, but I'm a BIG fan of black skinny jeans. Something about black skinny jeans just seem so much more dressier to me and plus, regular jeans are just sooo last year am I right? (jk)

What are some of your most worn clothing pieces? Let me know in the comments down below! Also, what are your plans this weekend?? We're in the middle of restaurant week here in Charlotte and RJ have reservations to try out a new restaurant tonight! Be sure to follow along on Snapchat (amy.pnp) to take a peak on our date night!

Have a great weekend and as always, thank you for reading!

p.s. tomorrow is Chinese New Year!! Happy Chinese New Year friends and happy year of the roster!

Changes.

Today we're about to get a little personal here on PNP.

I mean, after a little over two and half years I think it's finally time for me to open up to you all a little. We are all friends here after all, right?

I'll be the first to admit that I hate changes.

I've just never been good at accepting changes and I live through solid routines. It's probably the reason why I have never changed the cut or color of my hair, or the fact that I have to sit in the same seat every class or I swear it messes with my mojo.

I knew coming into 2017 that it would be the year of many changes. This year would be the year of so many firsts and so many lasts, which is probably the main reason why it was so hard for me to say goodbye to 2016 (did I mention that I'm not good at goodbyes either? But that's another post for another day).

In 2017 I'll be starting a my last semester in college, starting a new internship, experiencing my last spring break, graduating, (hopefully) starting a full time job, and experiencing what ever life decides to throw at me. And you know what? I'm terrified. Not knowing the unknown is such a scary thing.

I've always heard that successful people accept and like changes because it means growth. And we all want to be successful, right?

I know that all changes aren't bad. I mean, I moved out of my tiny town August of 2013 to head to Charlotte for college and that was a big change for me. Did I like it at first? Lol, nope. Being in such a big city (which btw, was MASSIVE compared to my hometown) and knowing pratically no one (thank goodness I had RJ though) was such a scary thing to me. But fast forward three years later and I couldn't image myself anywhere else now.

Sure, changes are scary. Sure, not knowing what the exact outcome would be is terrifying (main reason why I can't gamble). But, change is what help us grow and learn. I mean, without changes we'd all still be in our awkward middle school stages and I think we all can be grateful that we had outgrew that stage.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I want to stop being afraid of change. I know that all changes aren't always going to be good, but I know that there's always something to be learned from them.

So here's to you 2017. Here's to a year full of many changes and growth. I'm ready to accept you with open arms and heck, maybe I will finally decide to change either my cut or color of my hair this year - who knows. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Happy Monday friends!
In honor of my internship starting this week I thought it would be fun to share this classic workwear outfit with you all. This outfit can totally work for any occasion in which you need to dress business casual or even a class presentation. Being a marketing major, I have done quite a few presentations throughout the school year for my classes (you'd think I'd be great at public speaking by now... LOL) and sometimes I'm required to dress up for them.

I was in the market for some new pixie pants to wear for both my new internship and class presentations and came across these ones from Old Navy. OH MY GOODNESS. All of you need to run not walk to your nearest Old Navy and pick these up NOW. They are seriously the comfiest pair of pants I have ever tried (which is saying a lot because I hate pants) and love the fit of them.

Lately, I have been loving just keeping my outfits fairly neutral and adding a pop of color with my accessories. For this look, I kept things pretty simple with a plain navy and white color pallet with pops of light pink with these gorgeous Kendra Scott earrings and my tote.

I'm actually really excited to start playing around with some business casual outfits for my internship, it'll be a nice wardrobe change! Be sure to be on the lookout for those posts and some work wear outfit inspiration! I hope you all have a wonderful week and as always, thank you for reading!

Pink Talks v.18

Pastel_N_Pink

Happy Friday friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful week! These past week I have been trying to adjust going back to school for my last semester and trying to fathom that my time in school is coming to an end. How did time go by so fast?!

Today's Pink Talks I'm excited to share what I've been up to including what I've been watching and my recent Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale purchases. Now, let's get started, shall we?

What I've been doing...

2017 in video
I have decided that I want to start filming little snips and clips of my day everyday for a whole year to eventually compile them into a video at the end of year. Hopefully I can keep up with this through out the year and maybe I'll even share it on the blog with you all!

Capture Your Style
Capture_your_style
I have really wanted to start making an effort and start reading more this year. I recently picked up Amiee Song's book, Capture Your Style from Marshalls and have been love reading through it! This book is perfect for any fashion lover, blogger or someone who just loves taking photos! If you haven't yet, I highly recommend picking it up.

Lemony Snicket and the Series of Unfortunate Events
I read this series when I was younger, saw the movie and was SO excited to hear about the series on Netflix. I have been binge watching the first season this past week and am already impatiently waiting for the second season!! It's so good and I have so many questions and theories. Have you watched the series?! Let me know in the comments down below and any theories you have!

IHC January Meet Up
Blogger_Meet_up
blogger_meet_up
Sunday I was able to attend a blogger meet up via InfluencerHer Collective. We spent the day on the Funny Bus learning more about Charlotte and laughing along the way. I was able to attend the meet up with Annalise of Southern Belle in Training, Cara of Caralina Style and I got to meet Savanna of Sweet and Savy Blog. It was such a fun afternoon hearing more about Charlotte and we even got to stop to eat at one of my favorite pizza places in Charlotte, Benny Pannello's! If you haven't been to Benny Pannello's it's a small hole in the wall pizza place located in NoDa. They serve giant pizza slices all for $4 - $5! If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend it!

Recent Purchases...

My After Party Sale purchases came in! I managed to get a pair of shorts in Ugotta Regatta and I love them! These ones are super similar!

I also picked up a skort during the APS and am in love with it! I can't wait to share it with you all once I figure out how to style it. Speaking of skorts, this one is on the site is one of my favorites and want to add it to my collection!

And that's it for today's Pink Talks! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and as always, thank you for reading!

Happy Wednesday friends!

I hope you all are enjoying your short week so far! Because we didn't have classes Monday and I only go to class three days a week I was fortunate enough to only have a two day week this week. Even though it's been great to have all this time off, I'm kind of ready to get into a productive routine! My new internship starts next week and I'm kind of excited for it to start! Also, does anyone else feel super thrown off when they have a short week??

I think my two most worn colors this winter has to be maroon and gray... I can't help it! Another thing I have been loving this winter has been layering collard shirts under sweaters. It's a great way to add some extra warmth to your outfit and it's a cute preppy touch!

I'm sure that you all are low key tired of seeing this herringbone vest on my blog, but it just comes to show how versitle it is! You can make it super casual with an oversized long sized tee or dress it up a bit with a nice blouse. This vest is perfect for an added layer of warmth and perfect layering piece!

Side note:
My hair was actually curled for this shoot and by the time we took these photos my hair was pretty much straight again! My hair has been so bad at holding curls lately and it's so weird because when I was younger I could curl my hair and it would last a couple days! If any of you have hard to curl hair I'd love to hear your tips!

I hope you all have a wonderful day and as always, thank you for reading!

Happy Monday friends!

If you all saw on Snapchat then you may have known that I had attended another blogger meet up yesterday! It was so fun to hang out with some fellow bloggers and even meet a new friend! I'll go into more detail this week during my Pink Talks post!

I guess I've been on a gray sweater kick lately because here I am again sharing another gray sweater that I'm obsessed with!! In previous years black on black was my go to color pallet for the winter, but this season I have been liking mixing in gray into my wardrobe. I guess in my mind it's the "girly" and "lighter" version of an all black outfit.. if that even makes any sense.

I've expressed a couple times that I'm not really a big fan of turtlenecks. Something about a piece of clothing touching my neck makes me uncomfortable and feel like I'm low key suffocating. Not fun. If you're like me and love the look of turtlenecks, but can't stand wearing an actual turtleneck, I recommend picking up a sweater that has an oversized neck opening or a mock turtleneck. Both options will give you the look of a turtleneck without the uncomfortable suffocating feeling.

I managed to score this sweater during the after Christmas sales for $20, but it's on sale for less than $18! I would highly recommend picking it up because it's SO dang cozy!

I hope you all are doing well and are enjoying your day off from classes today! Be sure to come back Wednesday for a new post!
