east_coast_vs_west_coast

Happy Wednesday friends!

I am super excited to share today's blog post with you all! I have teamed up with Kelly from Atelier d'Egerie for a fun collab! Kelly is currently based in California since I am in North Carolina so we thought it would be fun to do a little east coast vs. west coast styling challenge (minus the beef of course!). We decided to choose a closet staple, the white skinny jean, and style it to reflect our separate regions.

Top: Red Dress Boutique (old, similar here) || Jeans: YMI via TJ Maxx || Wedges: Target (super similar here) || Necklace: Bauble Bar || Watch: Michael Kors (similar here) || Pink Cuff: Bauble Bar (old, similar here) || Pearl Bracelet: Forever 21 (similar) || Chain Bracelet: J.Crew Factory || Monogram Clutch: Marley Lilly

Even though I have lived in the south for pretty much most of my life, I've never really considered myself a "southerner." It may have something to due to the fact that I was born in Philadelphia so I never considered myself a true southerner because of that (which is super weird considering I lived in North Carolina for, what 20 years now?).

I may not consider myself a true southerner; there are many aspects of southern fashion that I love. Seersucker, bows ties, and Lilly just to name a few. Today for our little fashion challenge I decided to channel my inner southern belle to represent the southern east coast. I mean, seersuckers, bows and monograms? Classic southern staples. P.S. Let’s see how many times I can say the word “southern” before it gets obnoxious…

I styled this seersucker bow back top on the blog last fall (check it out here!) and decided to give it a restyle for this little challenge. To go with the top I accessorized with my go-to tassel necklace and some gold arm candy. As for shoes I paired the look off with some nude wedges (which, I have been wearing a TON lately. They seriously go with everything!).

What do you all think about our east coast vs west coast challenge? How would you style white skinny jeans to represent where you live? I'd love to know in the comments down below! Also, be sure to check out Kelly's post on how she gave some California flare to her outfit! Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday! (:
