Statement Earrings

Top: H&M || Skort: BooHoo || Flats: Target || Earrings: H&M (Not online, check in store!) || Purse: Kate Spade (old, similar here) || Watch: Michael Kors (Similar in all gold here) || Cuff: Forever 21 || Bow Bangle: Kate Spade (similar)

Happy Memorial Day friends!

It's no surprise that statement earrings, especially tassel earrings, have been hitting the blogging world by storm. I have always liked the look of big statement earrings, but never really thought I could pull them off or how they would look on me. I finally took the plunge and purchased my first pair of tassel earrings and let me tell ya, there's no going back for me!

I have been loving wearing these tassel earring with my hair down, it's like they're subtly making an appearance when they peak through my hair. Unfortunately I couldn't find these exact earrings online, but I would definitely run by H&M and check if they had any in stock there. I was there a couple days ago and they had a ton in stores!

I wanted to keep my outfit fairly neutral so my earrings could really pop. This white lace tank has been my go to top lately, it seriously goes with everything! I paired the tank off with this black envelop skort and my go to nude flats.

What do you all think about the tassel / statement earring trend? Are you all for it or is it not for you? Also, I have linked a few of my favorite earrings down below so be sure to check it out!

I hope all of you have a fun and safe Memorial Day!

Floral Romper

Romper: Forever 21 (old, similar here) || Cardigan: Old Navy (similar) || Flats: Target (similar) || Purse: Michael Kors || Watch: Michael Kors (all gold version here)

Happy Friday friends!

I hope all of you had a fantastic week! I started summer classes this week and it's weird trying to get in the school mind set when everyone around me is on summer break. Thankfully my class is only a month long so hopefully I'll make it through!

Lately I have been on a no pants / jeans binge. I have been living in skirts, dresses, rompers, flowey shorts, anything besides denim. I mean, who has time to be uncomfortable? Rompers are awesome to throw on days where you want to wear a dress, but it's too windy and you don't want to have a Marilyn moment (which happens way too often for me). Believe it or not, for a while I hated rompers and didn't understand the hype. It was about a year or two after they became popular is when I started getting into them!

I picked up this little romper a couple years ago and love how I can take it from day to night. During the day I just throw on a white cardigan like I had styled here and some flats but to make it more night time appropriate I'd either take off the cardigan and throw on some fun wedges or add a leather jacket.

What do you guys think of rompers? Do you love them or are they just not for you? Let me know in the comments down below! I hope all of you have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend! (:

Rain, rain, come my way??

Dress: Marshall's (similar here) || Rain boots: Hunters (ON SALE!) || Necklace: Red Dress Boutique (old, similar here) || Watch: Michael Kors (similar in all gold)

Happy Wednesday Friends!

So one of my biggest pet peeves is when my feet / shoes get wet when it's raining out. I mean, let's be honest, is there anyone who actually enjoys walking around all day with soggy feet? I hate the feeling of soggy shoes so much there has been multiple times where I have debated not going to class when it's raining out just so my feet won't get gross (#sorrymom). You'd think the logical solution for this problem would to get some rain boots, but for some reason I just never really gotten around to splurging on a good pair... until now!

I have been eyeing these beauties for the longest time and they finally went on sale a few months back!! I know everyone hypes over Hunter boots, but after receiving my own pair I can totally see why! Immediately you can tell they are super high quality and will last you a while. Also, can we just talk about how fun this pink color is? No joke, ever since I got these Hunters I have been stalking the weather forecast for a chance of rain so I can have an excuse to break these beauties out. Ironically, since I bought these every time I wear them out the rain ends up stopping.

I have been having fun finding new outfits to wear my Hunters with and my favorite outfit as of late is just simply pairing it with a striped t-shirt dress. I scored this darling t-shirt dress at Marshalls a few weeks ago and I'm not kidding when I say I never want to take it off. IT'S SO COMFORTABLE! Unfortunately I couldn't find the exact dress online, but I did link one super similar for you all down below!

How do you style your rain boots? I'd love to know and get some inspiration from you all!  I hope all of you are having a wonderful week so far! (:

Memorial Day outfit ideas

Top: Forever 21 (similar) || Skirt: Forever 21 || Sandals: Target (old, similar) || Purse: Old Navy + DIY || Watch: Michael Kors (similar) || Cuff: Forever 21 || Pearl Bracelet: Forever 21 (similar) || Bow Bangle: Kate Spade (old, similar here)

Happy Monday friends!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I mentioned a couple posts ago that I had went home this past week to spend some time with my family before starting summer classes. I was planning to take some outfit photos while I was at home to get a scenery change and so you all can see how beautiful the mountains are, but unfortunately the weather and plants just didn't line up. Other than the photos not going as plan, it was nice to finally make a trip back home. It was great to spend time with my family and catch up with old friends. The hardest thing for me whenever I leave home is saying goodbye. I was never good with goodbyes, but saying them to my parents are always the hardest. Are any of you the same with goodbyes?

Now that we are all caught up with my life updates, on to today's post! Memorial day is one week away and I thought it would be fun to share an outfit idea for next week! I picked up this red and white striped skirt two weeks ago and have been obsessed with it sense. I love the scalloped hem and the button front add such a cute touch. I paired the skirt off with a sleeveless lace top and some beaded sandals. If you wanted to incorporate some blue to this outfit you could always switch up the white lace top with a royal blue tank and it would look just as cute!

I have linked some cute pieces below that I think would be perfect to wear for Memorial Day weekend. What are your plans for Memorial Day? I'd love to hear! I'm currently in the middle of making some plans of my own so I may need some inspiration.

I hope all of you have a wonderful day and I'll talk to you all in my next post! (:

Navy and Pink + First Blogging Meet up

Top: Old Navy || Skirt: Abercrombie and Fitch || Sandals: Target (old, but these are super cute!) || Purse: Kate Spade (similar) || Sunglasses: Nasty Gal || Necklace: Francescas || Watch: Michael Kors (similar) || Earrings: Forever 21

Happy Friday friends!

Whew has week FLOWN by! I mean, it feels like I just came back home yesterday! I know I always say I'm excited to share my outfit posts with you all, but this one is especially exciting because I get to share my first blogging meet up with you all today!

The outfit I chose to wear for the meet up was my favorite striped top from Old Navy and my pink suede skirt. I held back from wearing my usual florals just in case we decided to take photos in front of some flowers I wouldn't blend in, ha! I have been loving the cut of this skirt and plan on picking up more for the spring/summer season. Although I do love my skater skirts, a-line skirts are perfect for windy days because you don't have to worry about having a Marylin moment!

Now on the meetup! Last Sunday I was able to attend the Influence Her Collective (formerly known as Her Campus) North Carolina meet up hosted by our regional chair Annaliese from Southern Belle In Training. The meet up was held at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens which is about 30ish minutes away from Charlotte. Along with Annaliese, I was able to meet Cara from Caralina Style, Morgan from How 2 Wear it, Katie from Chic in Carolina and Sarah from Stylish, Sassy and Classy. The day was spent with meeting new bloggers in the area, taking pictures and admiring a super cute ice cream van that unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to take many pictures with. The meet up ended up with dinner in South Park and I had the best cheese ravioli ever.

Here are some photos from the meetup! How cute is that little ice cream van? I'm obsessed!

Sunday was such a fun day and it was so great to finally meet some fellow bloggers. Everyone was so sweet and I cannot wait to attend another meet up in the future! I hope you all enjoyed reading about my first blogging meet up experience! Be sure to come back Monday for a new post and have a wonderful weekend! (:
