Riding coasters in style

When I am trying to decide what to wear when I go to an amusement park I always keep comfort in mind. My go to outfit usually consists of a light weight shirts, some shorts and Vans. I love this periwinkle top because the material is so soft and the color is to die for!

Ever since I bought my season pass at Carowinds I have gone pretty much once every week. I mean, how could I pass that up? It's 20 minutes down the road! I love roller coasters! See that giant roller coaster behind me? I conquered that bad boy... 3 times! I know, pretty impressive.

Happy Birthday to me!! Today I said goodbye to my teenage years and said hello to my twenties! (This sounds so weird.) It's weird to think that I'm 20 years old now, I still accidentally tell people I'm 17!  This past weekend my friends and I celebrated my birthday and it was filled with laughter and a ton of sweets. The weekend started off with dancing the night away on Thursday, Carowinds on Friday and a birthday dinner on Saturday. 

Saturday night we went to a restaurant in Uptown called Blue. It's one of my favorites and the bread is amazing! I wore this girly shoulder cut out dress to dinner with some brown wedges. After dinner we decided to explore uptown. Our adventure consisted of a street magic show, creeping on high school proms and searching for dessert. Needless to say I had a wonderful birthday weekend. Here's to entering my twenties!

Lilly Pulitzer for Target

The day is finally here! Lilly Pulitzer is in target! I've been waiting for the day that Target launches their Lilly Pulitzer collection for months and unfortunately it was a let down for me. Target opened their doors at 8 am this morning and within minutes the entire collection was sold out! Crazy right? At first I thought it was just my Target, but it happened to every Target in my area and I have been reading tweets that others have experienced the same thing. I was defiantly not prepared for the collection to be sold out so fast and unfortunately I left the store empty handed. The collection is even sold out online!

I think what I'm most disappointed about with this experience was the fact that people bought a whole stock of Lilly items just to resell on Ebay for double or triple the price. Really? There's no need to buy a shift dress that was retailed at $38 in store to sell online for $150. This should be an exciting time to have limited edition Lilly items out for an affordable price not an opportunity to make a profit out of it.

On a lighter note, I'm crossing my fingers that Target will hear all the demands for more and restock soon! Here are some of the pieces I had my eyes on from the collection (obsessing over the fan dance shift dress and the pineapple sandals!).

Pineapple Obsession

If you have been following me on Pinterest you may have noticed that I may have a slight pineapple obsession. Whether it be eating fresh pineapples, sippin' on pineapple smoothies or wearing them on my clothes I have been obsessed! This may have be the trendiest fruit ever. What do you guys think about this pineapple trend? 

On a side note, it's my birthday week! I can't believe I have one week left of being a teenager. Crazy right? I'm so excited for my birthday weekend, festivities start Thursday!
