Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I hope all of you had fun ringing in the new year last night and started the new year off on the right foot! Now, as cliche as this is, I am going to share with you all some of my new year's resolutions. I did this last year and it really did help me be accountable for my goals because I had them out on the Internet. So, let's get started now, shall we?

1. Clean up my diet
Beginning of my second year in college up until around the end of summer time my diet had been pretty much on point. I was even a vegetarian for most of that time period and even went vegan for a month. I was eating pretty much 80% fruits and veggies and I rarely binged on unhealthy food, but some where during the start of my 3rd year in college my diet went down hill... fast. I want to get back on track with my diet and limit myself to going out to eat only once a week.

2. Stay on top of school work
Last semester was by far the hardest semester I had in college by far. I have never really struggled in school up until then. Although I am happy that I did manage to bring up all my grades to a B by the end of the year, I want to do better. I want to make at least 3 A's this semester and 2 B's. Also, I want to be more organized! I am pretty organized for the most part as far as my planner and turning things on time, but in terms of time management and getting things done before hand I seem to lack in that department.. Hopefully not this semester!

3. Consistently post on my blog
This was one of my resolutions last year and I half way completed it. I started off the year not posting as much and gradually got better at posting at least once a week. I want to make it my goal to post three times a week Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I know with school, work and everything life is going to throw at me always seems to put blogging on the back burner, but I want to make it an effort to spend some more time on my blog.

4. Be more optimistic / positive
With a series of events that happened last year, I learned that life is so fragile and we really do have to live every day like it is our last. Who knows what tomorrow will hold? I want to be more optimistic and positive about life because life is too short to have negative energy around. I want to have a clean slate and focus more on myself this year and keep people around that bring me up rather than tear me down. Also, I want to try to end every night or at least every week with a "thankful thought" and write down what I am thankful for.

5. Be nicer
This is kind of piggy backing off of the last resolution, but I want to be nicer. Not only to other people, but to myself. This world already has enough hate in it, why should I add to it?

6. Consistently workout 6 days a week
Would it really be a New Years resolution without a workout resolution thrown in there? I was pretty good this past year about going to the gym, but there were some parts in the year where I did slack off. I make excuses like "I don't have time" when in reality you really have to make time to go.

These are all of the resolutions that I can think of for now, but I may add more to this list later! I hope you all are having a wonderful day and hope that 2016 is going to be fantastic for you all! Let me know down below what your New Years resolutions are!

  5. Loved reading your goals. I definitely need to work on being more positive, I feel like when times get negative I just let it snowball instead of trying to think positively.

    1. Haha, I work at a gym so I guess working out six days a week seems pretty normal to me. I find the gym so therapeutic and always feel so incomplete when I can't make it to workout! I hope you are having a great New Years so far!

  12. I love this list. I'm working on four and five too. A positive mindset is so important but it can be hard when things seem to be going wrong.
