Hi friends!

It's crazy to think we're about to enter into the last month of 2019! This year has flown by, but I'm excited to see what 2020 holds. But, before we jump into wrapping up the year, let's reflect back onto the past month.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Friendsgiving (x2) - I'm pretty sure I mentioned this at least 10 times between the blog and Instagram, BUT ya girl hosted her first Friendsgiving this past month. Ever since I moved into my new apartment I've been itching to host people over, it was one of my favorite things to do in my old college apartment. We mainly had a group of my boyfriend's friends and my old roommates over, but it was still fun getting to spend time with everyone! The following week my boyfriend and I had gotten invited to another friend's Friendsgiving. Needless to say by the end of the month we'll have plenty of turkey to last us till next year.
  • Simon Blogger Holiday Dinner - This past month I also got a chance to attend SouthPark Mall's blogger holiday dinner! I've been able to be fortunate enough to attend a few of their events in the past and I swear their events get better and better every time. It was great to see all the holiday gift ideas that SouthPark has to offer as well as meet some new bloggers in the area!

WHAT I'VE BEEN LOVING
  • Indian Food - My boyfriend recently got me into Indian food and I'm kind of hooked now! To be fair I've really only had chicken tika masala with naan, but to be honest, I'm find with it because it's SO. DANG. GOOD. If you guys are in Charlotte or in the University area, we've been going to Passage to India and it's so yummy!
  • Sangria - I've recently been really into sangria lately and finding new recipes to try. Over Labor Day weekend my boyfriend and I came up with a white peach sangria recipe that was a big hit with his family. I wanted to make a red sangria version for our Friendsgiving and found this Honeycrisp apple cider sangria recipe! It was super easy and such a big hit with everyone!

TRADER JOE'S FAVES

If you don't follow me on Instagram and watch my stories, then you may not know that I'm a big Trader Joe's stan. I do all of my grocery shopping there, listen to their podcasts, read the frequent flyers and am always trying out their new releases. I'm a big fan. With that said, I thought it'd be fun to share some of my favorites from the past month in my wrap up!
  • Cauliflower Gnocchi - Not a new favorite for the month, but I tried these out when I first moved back to Charlotte after hearing about it all over social media and I'm HOOKED. A tip is to either pan fry it or cook it in the air fryer, which is what I recommend doing. This is a great "healthier" alternative to pasta and I usually cook mine with saute kale and call it a day
  • King's Prohibition Wine - This was kind of an accidental find after trying to give a wine suggestion to my boyfriend's brother and he ended up purchasing the wrong bottle, BUT it all worked out because I think this one may be better than the one I suggested. It's red wine and not too dry or too bitter and tastes a bit sweeter if you let it sit out for a bit. Also, it's about $8!
  • Chimmichurri Rice - If you guys like cilantro, then this is a must-try! This Peruvian style rice is packed full of flavor and I typically pair it with some grilled chicken and call it a day. It has a tiiiny bit of spice to it, but nothing too crazy.

WHAT I BOUGHT
  • Plaid Skirt - With all the holiday festivities coming up, I wanted to pick up a festive holiday skirt to wear out! This one fits true to size and comes in a variety of different colors.
  • Metallic Midi Skirt - I saw Amanda of Strawberry Chic post this on her Wal-Mart try on haul and immediately bought it. It's so fun for the holidays and for a great price! I wore it for my own Friendsgiving and it was the perfect amount of holiday sparkle.
  • White Mock Neck Sweater - Going off the same haul from Strawberry Chic, I also picked up this white Mock Neck Sweater. I already wore it to work with some printed pixie pants, a high pony and hoops for a chic look.
  • Gym Shark - Gym Shark had a blackout sale earlier this week and I caved to finally try the brand out. I've heard so much about the brand on YouTube and my boyfriend's brother that I thought this was the perfect time to try out some of the pieces for myself. I managed to pick up one pair of their vital seamless leggings and two crop tops.
