I feel like there are two types of people: people who like constant background noise on at all times and people who like complete silence. Ya girl so happens to fall into the category of needing to have some type of background noise on at all times whether it be music, a YouTube video, or as of late, podcasts (which is a little unfortunate for my roommate/my neighbors...sorry!).

I pretty much have my morning routine down pat now with waking up and playing a new podcast that has aired that day while I get ready. As much as I love jamming out to my favorite songs, it's nice to switch things up every now and then listening to a good podcast. Plus, there's so much you can learn from others by listening to their own personal experiences and advice!

I had first started getting into podcasts about a year and a half ago and shared some of my favorites at the time in this blog post but I thought it'd be fun to share an updated list with you all. These podcasts are very much #GirlBoss: woman empowerment and female-focused. I mean, who doesn't love some good girl-power energy?

Pretty Basic
If you're into watching YouTube videos or are familiar with fashion and beauty vloggers, you may have heard of YouTubers Miss Remi Ashten and Alisha Marie. Remi and Alisha launched their podcast, Pretty Basic, last fall and I've been hooked on it since. On their podcast, they discuss the behind the scenes life of being a YouTuber, what life is like being a social media influencer and of course, boy drama.

I have been following both Remi and Alisha for years and was really excited to hear that they had launched a podcast together. I definitely recommend if you're ever interested in what life as a YouTuber / social media influencer is like!

Schnitt Talk
Hosted by Barstool Sports' Ellie Schnitt, Schnitt Talk is your go-to podcast for all things girl talk. Ellie covers topics from dating as a twenty-something-year-old to living life in New York City. I recently found Ellie on Twitter and loved how relatable she is on dating and relationships. If you’re into girly/sleepover type of podcasts, this is one to check out!

I love you so much
Hosted by lifestyle vlogger Kenzie Elizabeth, I Love You so Much covers a variety of topics ranging from branding, relationships, social media influencers, to mental health. Kenzie brings on a new guest each week to interview and it’s so cool to be able to hear first-hand advice on ways to improve your life from a variety of different perspectives.

Girls Talk
Girls Talk is hosted by fellow bloggers Abigail of Living the Gray Life and Caitlyn of College with Caitlyn. I  “met” Abigail and Caitlyn through a blogging Facebook Group, Gal Pal Girl Gang, a couple years ago and it’s been so cool following along with them as they create and grow this podcast! On their podcast, you can find episodes discussing topics ranging from college life, behind the scenes of being a blogger and boys. I really love the whole laid back vibe they have going on in their podcast and it really feels like you’re there chatting with them!

TK's Juicy Pod
Hosted by Taylor King, aka the poll queen, TK's Juicy Pod brings on a variety of guests to discuss the results of their polls from Instagram.  They cover topics anywhere from dating, food, and even life as a social media influencer. Even if you don't have any interest in listening to Taylor's podcast (which, I suggest you do. Some of them are quite informative!), I do recommend following her on Instagram to vote in on her polls. They're so fun and some of them are pretty tricky!

ABG - Asian Boss Girl
My cousin had introduced this podcast to me about a month ago and I've already binged listen to all of their episodes. Hosted by Melody Cheng, Helen Wu, and Janet Wang, Asian Boss Girl is the go-to podcast for the modern day Asian American. This is a great podcast for my fellow Asian Americans as they touch on many relatable topics such as relationship, career, and lack of Asian representation in the media.

Gals On The Go
Hosted by YouTubers, Danielle Carolan, and Brooke Miccio, Gals on the Go podcast is the go-to podcast for.... well, Gals on the Go. Danielle and Brooke touch on topics such as school, traveling and being an influencer all from a college student's point of view. This is a great "girl talk" type of podcast to listen to if you have a long road trip ahead of you or need some extra motivation to start your week off.

The Reel Real
The Reel Real podcast is focused on real life, real people and real careers. Host Natalie Barbu (who also is a Charlotte native!) takes down the Instagram highlight reel and shares real stories of people from all walks of life. Every week Natalie brings on a new guest to interview starting off with a "set the record" straight segment where they break down the typical stereotypes associated with that person's profession. This is a great insight into the lives of different professions and a great reminder that everything we see online isn't what it seems.

And those are some of my favorite podcasts as of late! Are you a big podcast listener? If so, let me know some of your favorites down below. I'm always on the hunt for some new ones to listen to! I hope you all enjoyed this post and, as always, thank you for reading!

xoxo,
Amy
