Ever open up your closet and just become overwhelmed with all of your clothes and start to get into a rut of how to pair things together? I feel like I get into this rut every once and a while tend to fall into the plain ole jeans and plain top combo because I just get into one of those "fashion roadblocks."

If you're currently in one of those ruts or just want some new fall outfit inspiration to have no fear! I have rounded 10 of my favorite fall outfits that you can easily recreate as well as tips on transitioning some of your summer items into the fall. I try to pick outfits that contain the majority of your closet staples such as a comfy flannel, your go-to t-shirt dress, and riding boots.

Original Post: Thanksgiving outfit idea

Got a little skater dress that you want to bring into the fall? Throw on a cozy flannel on top and your favorite booties! This is one of my favorite ways to re-wear my dresses and get the most of out of my clothing pieces!

If you need some extra warmth for your legs you can also pair the look with your favorite tall riding boots and some cute knee high socks like I've done in the second look! I actually wore this outfit for Thanksgiving last year and got so many compliments!

Original post: Flannel + Stripes

I believe this was my most pinned outfit from last year! Stripes and plaid is my favorite combination for the fall time. Try pairing your flannels under one of your 3/4 sleeved dresses for a cute layered look. The trick to pattern mixing is trying and find a similar color scheme for a more cohesive look! If you want to learn more tips on pattern mixing, I put together a post last year on my tips and tricks for mixing prints like a pro!

Original Post: The perfect swing dress

You know your go to favorite t-shirt dress you wore all summer long? Snag it in a long sleeve version for the fall time and dress it up with your favorite blanket scarf and booties. Don't want to spend money on a new dress? You can easily pair a cozy cardigan over your summer t-shirt dress and add some booties to transition it into the fall like I've done so here!

I feel like I always get into some kind of rut of just wearing my flannels as is, buttoned up with a pair of jeans. Switch up the look a bit by unbuttoning that sucker and layering it on top of your favorite comfy tee! I decided to do some pattern mixing with this comfy striped tee, but you can totally go with a basic tee and add a fun necklace or a graphic tee for a more casual look! The possibilities are endless.

This was one of my most worn outfit combos last year! Leggings, a long tee, my favorite army green anorak and a leopard scarf. I love simply hanging my scarf around my neck like this for a layered look without too much of the extra warmth.
