Today I'm sharing how I styled my one and only purchase from this past year's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! This top first caught my eye during the pre-sale catalog and I'm so happy I managed to snag it!

Happy Wednesday friends!

I hope you all are doing well. Today I’m super excited to share this darling top that I picked up from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale last month! This was the only purchase I had made during the sale and I’m in love with it!

My favorite part about this top is the big exaggerated self-tie bow. Maybe it’s my inner cheerleading coming out, but I just love things 10x more if it has a bow on it. Anyone else? This top is such a statement and I knew I just had to have it when I saw it online during the sale.

The funny thing about this top is that I had lots of mixed reviews on it. Like I’m sure many people do, I take a photo of an item in the dressing room and send it out to my friends for opinions. The thoughts on this top were split pretty much 50/50 on if they liked it or not. RJ even told me he didn’t like it! He said the main thing he didn’t like about was the bow on it, which is funny because it’s my favorite part!

Needless to say, even though this didn’t have the majority vote on it being a favorite among my friends, I still bought it. Why? Because I love it and it makes ME feel good. That’s what matters at the end of the day, right? RJ always makes fun of me for always asking him for his opinions on clothes I’m trying on and I end up buying things he doesn’t like or vice versa. I just like hearing other people’s thoughts and I may take them into consideration, but at the end of the day, it’s how I feel in the piece and if I like it.

Basically, what I’m trying to get at with spill is wear what makes you happy and feel confident. At the end of the day, you’re sporting it and if brings you happiness then rock it!

What are your thoughts on getting your friend’s opinions on clothes you try on / buy? Do you usually go with what they say or go with your mindset regardless? I’d love to know in the comments down below. I hope you all have a wonderful day and as always, thank you for reading!

xoxo,
Amy
