Happy Monday friends!

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was spent catching up with some friends (both from blogging and from school!). I'm pretty bad at getting into a rut and staying inside my apartment all the time and I want to try to make an effort to be more social this year. So I'm making it a goal to schedule either a coffee date, lunch date, etc with a friend at least once a week. It's good to have alone time for yourself, but it's also healthy to make time to spend with friends and socialize as well!

In other news, today's outfit post!

It's been a little tricky trying to decide what outfits I want to share with you all on my blog lately. As many of you know by now the weather here in Charlotte is pretty crazy. One day I'm bundled up in a sweater and boots and the next I'm in a spring dress. I always wanted my blog to be a place where I share my outfits with you all and for you to get inspiration on what to wear, but it is always strange for me to post an outfit that's suitable for 30 degree weather when it's 70 out! I guess what I'm trying to say is bare with me with my wide range of outfits on the blog over the next couple of weeks as we try to figure out Charlotte's crazy weather pattern... haha

Today's outfit would be perfect for the (normal) spring transition weather. This light weight chambray top is perfect for warmer days, but will still keep you warm when the sun goes down. To give this outfit a little bit of glam I added this beautiful statement necklace that I received from my Rocksbox and paired my favorite studded loafers to tie the look together. I have been really into tucking the front part of my button down shirts, I think it gives it a little bit more of a polished look.

Side tip: if you have a shorter shirt or are having a hard time tucking your shirt into your jeans and having them stay, try tucking them under your belt! I find that this works so much better for me and the shirt stays in place better.

Also, happy Valentine's Day eve (is that a thing?)! Let me know what you all have planned for Valentine's day down below! Unfortunately I'll be spending my Valentine's day in my three hour night class... if that doesn't scream a romantic night I don't know what does.  hope all of you are having a wonderful start of your week so far and always, thank you for reading!
