Happy Monday friends!
I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend! Today is my last day of summer vacation and I cannot believe a new school year is about to start! Insane right?! Let me know when you go back to school (or if you've already started) in the comments down below!
Today's post is going to be a little bit of a long one, so let's just jump right into it!
Blogging can be very discouraging at times. Sometimes you spend days on a post and the response isn't what you wanted. You may have written an awesome email with a great idea for a brand, but you have no reply. It sucks, but it happens.
Also, it's very easy to get caught up and compare yourself to other bloggers who may be more "successful" than you or have a bigger following. I know I am guilty of seeing bloggers who have been blogging for a shorter amount of time than I have with 6x more followers than I do and question "what am I doing wrong??" It happens to the best of us from time to time.
Sometimes I even question myself sometimes with "why am I spending so much time and effort on this website?" With styling outfits, pictures, editing, writing the post, promoting it, planning out content, this mine as well be a part time job (wouldn't that be nice though?).
"Do more of what makes you happy"
I love putting new outfits together and sharing them with you all. I love planning out content and reading all of your comments on my posts. I even love days we go out to take blog photos (even when it's 90+ degrees out!).
Even though blogging about what I wear may seem silly to some people, I really do love it. I love having a platform where I can not only share outfit inspiration with people, but be able to connect with some amazing people through it. I mean, it still blows my mind that I have been able to meet some blogging friends in real life, like WHAT.
I always like to write inspirational quotes in my planner or write my goals down to remind me of why I'm doing what I'm doing. Little reminders always seem to have a way to give you that pick me up when you least expect it.
I recently received this roman numeral bar necklace from Sparkle & Whim with the date of when I started my blog and it couldn't have been a better reminder of why I still blog.
Even in just the short amount of time of having this necklace it has brought me so much happiness every time I see the date engraved on it (fun fact, I'm think roman numerals are the prettiest thing, ever!).
My little corner of the internet has brought me so much joy and I love talking about it to people now. I use to be so embarrassed about having a site where I posed and shared what I wore on the internet, but I've kind of gotten over that. Low key am waiting for someone to ask what the date is on my necklace when I wear it out just so I have an excuse to talk about it!
Whew. I told you all that would be a long one. Hi to those of you who made it to the end! Let me know down below what makes you happy and I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
Thank you for reading!!
