Happy Thursday friends!

If you follow me on Instagram (@pastelnpinkblog) or Snapchat (amy.pnp) then you know that I had spent most of my 4th of July at the Craft City Social's first annual 4th of July Splash Bash! I was at Craft City Social's grand opening last month with Annalise (see post here) and it was great to be back again for their 4th of July event. I was even able to meet up with Annalise from Southern Belle in Training and Cara from Caralina Style!

This was my second year spending 4th of July in Charlotte and I was no disappointed! As much as I love being home with my family, Charlotte just has more events and to attend and not to mention a killer fireworks show! I spent most of the day portion of 4th of July at Craft City's 4th of July event and had such a fun time.

The pool party event was the perfect way to spend the day portion of 4th of July. They even had a festive version of their sparkle pops which was made of strawberry lemonade and limeade with blueberries. I was a big fan of those. I mean, fruity popsicles and prosecco? Yes please!

I had taken R.J. (aka Mr. Camera man) as my plus one to the event and he ended up ordering a black angus burger that came with firecracker chunky salsa and southern potato salad. He reported that the food tasted as good as it looked!

We spent majority of the day relaxing by the pool and listening to the live band. The weather was just beautiful and the water was the perfect temperature to dip your feet in!

Fun Fact: After I had snapped this photo, RJ had gone over to my tote to look for sunscreen and I had told him it was in my pink pouch. He had gone through my tote and held up every pouch he found in there asking if it was the right one until he finally reached the last one where it had the sunscreen in it. If only I had snapchatted the whole thing for you all!

Craft City had a variety of games to play such as a giant connect four, jenga, shuffleboard and fooseball. RJ and I decided try out a friendly competition and challenge Annalise and Cara to a game of fooseball. It was intense. And by intense I mean RJ had to play with just his left pinky to make the game fair. At least it's good to know that if I am ever in a situation where I need a good fooseball partner I know who to call, right?

The rest of the afternoon was filled with catching up with each other, taking photos (and being photobombed!), and enjoying the beautiful view of Uptown Charlotte. Word on the street was that there was a rubber ducky fight during the event and I wish I had shown up earlier to witness it! Wouldn't that be a sight to see?

The 4th of July Splash Bash was definitly a great way to spend the 4th of July. I love hosting get togethers with friends, but I definitly do not like the stress and cleaning up afterwards so an event like this is something I would love to do again with friends for another holiday.

After the Splash Bash, RJ and I meet up with some of our other friends to watch the Skyshow fireworks in Uptown to end the night. I had so much fun spending 4th of July with both my blogger friends and Charlotte-fam!

What did you do for the 4th? I'd love to know! I hope you all have a great Thursday and be sure to come back tomorrow for a new post!
