Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I hope your day is filled with delicious food and being surrounded by your love ones; as it should be.

We all know that it's Thanksgiving on Thursday and Black Friday on...well Friday. In the past few years that hasn't been the case though. I've noticed that retailers are pushing the start of Black Friday sales earlier and earlier. Last year I thought it was crazy they started at 7pm and now I hear some stores are starting at 4pm? WHAT??

When do they expect people to eat their Thanksgiving dinner? In the cold while they're standing in a ridiculously long line for some electronic item they probably don't need? Uhm, no. Don't get me wrong, I love a good sale and I might as well be labeled as a shopaholic, but there's a time and place for that.

I know for me personally, I look forward to going home for Thanksgiving dinner with my family. I attend college four hours from home so going home and having a home cooked meal isn't something I can do often.

The sales can wait. The shopping can wait. You can go to the store any time to pick up that sweater you've been swooning over, but spending time with your love ones is limited. Tell the people in your life you love them because we're not promised tomorrow. Time is so precious and I promise you that you can live without that super chunk knit sweater that you're probably only going to wear twice this season.

Plus, Cyber Monday is where it's at (;

You can shop for pretty much the same deals from the comfort of your own home, in your pajamas AND you get to enjoy Thanksgiving with your family. Win win am I right?

Okay, now that I've gotten my thoughts on Black Friday off my chest, I'm going to end on a lighter note. Today is a day about giving thanks, so here is what I'm thankful for:

  • I'm thankful that my family is healthy and I'm fortunate enough to be living the lifestyle that I am living.
  • I'm thankful to have a person I care so much about come into my life and have such a positive impact on it.
  • I'm thankful that I have the opportunity to go to college to further my education.
  • Lastly, I'm thankful for all the wonderful things I am fortunate enough to experience in my life.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! May your bellies be stuffed with turkey and pumpkin pie!

Also, let me know what you're thankful for in the comments down below!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
