Happy Thursday friends!

You know those days where you just have “nothing to wear” even though you’re facing a closet full of clothes? We’ve all been there. A go to is usually a plain white t-shirt and your favorite denim shorts. Classic, right? I mean, there’s nothing wrong with the basics, in fact basics ROCK, but today I’m going to share how you can easily transform your basic outfit into a chic put together look.

Style details
It’s all in the details, am I right? I like to do a front tuck with my shirts to give them a little “something something.” I think this little detail always gives the outfit a little bit more of a dressed up feel. You can also try playing around with knotting your shirts or rolling up the sleeves too! Little details like this can really go a long way when dressing up your look!

Strong shoe game
Just because your outfit is basic doesn’t mean your shoes have to be. Step up your outfit with some killer shoes! I paired mine off with these fun coral espadrilles to bring in some color to the look. You could always go for a fun printed pair of shoes or something with a big statement bow. Since your base of your outfit is plain you can really have fun dressing it up with some louder pieces.

Accessorize!
Now, the fun part… accessories! You can never go wrong with a good statement necklace in my opinion. This orange-layered tassel necklace is so bright and loud that a basic outfit is a perfect base for it. As for my arm candy game, I layered a ton of beaded and friendship styled bracelets to add more color to the look. The right amount of accessories can easily bring a plan look to a more stylish ensemble in a matter of minutes!

Work that up do!
I had every intention on curling my hair for this shoot but ya girl actually forgot her curling iron at home, so... yeah. Let’s just pretend I have large voluminous curls in these photos, ok? I think hair is something that people easily overlook when it comes to styling an outfit, but in reality, it can really help make or break a look. I always feel instantly dressier when I have curls versus having my hair naturally pin straight. Try experimenting with different hair styles to elevate your look. Maybe trying a cute crown braid or simple curls!

And that's it! How do you like to dress up a basic outfit? Adding a fun printed jacket? Pairing it with a trendy hat? Let me know in the comments down below! I hope you all have a wonderful day and as always thank you for reading!
