Flower Power

Top: Forever 21 // Jeans: American Eagle // Necklace: Tiffany and Co // Flats: Catos

WARNING: be prepared for a load of cruise posts for the next few days.

I am finally back what it feels like a month long trip to Alaska. The trip was stressful, hectic, relaxing, fun, aggravating, and breath taking. Quite a variety right? To start off the trip, my family and I had actually missed our connecting flight to the cruise ship due to a 2 1/2 hour delay which caused us to miss two days of the cruise.

This outfit is what I actually wore when I first got on the cruise ship, which was day three of the cruise. The day we got on the boat the weather was pretty gloomy (like our spirits) so I thought I'd brighten things up with this super colorful floral top! Doesn't it make you feel so happy when you're looking at it?

I will do a Alaska cruise recap soon so stay tuned to hear about our long adventure this past week. I hope everyone is having a great day!

Pattern shorts all the way

Shirt: Forever 21 (similar) // Shorts: Charlotte Russe  (similar and on sale!) // Watch: Michael Kors // Sunglass: Vans // Flats: Catos (similar)

Incase you guys haven't noticed, I really like wearing patterned shorts. For one they're so comfy and two they're super cute! I hate feeling like my thighs are being constricted (#bigthighprobs) so flowy pattern shorts are the way to go! These shorts get extra brownie points because they're floral. Outfits like this are my favorite. I just have to throw on a top, shorts, some shoes, and bam! I look put together and I'm comfy. Win-win, right?

P.S. Right now I'm on the plane headed to Vancouver, Canada for my cruise! I'm SO excited! Follow me on my Instagram, @justcasuallychic to see pictures of my trip!

Feeling blue...

Dress: Forever 21 // Sandals: Forever 21 // Watch: Michael Kors // Bangles: Forever 21

Home sweet home! I'm so happy to be back home in the mountains, even if it is just for a little bit. I'm actually only home for a couple days because tomorrow I'm leaving for my cruise to Alaska! Even though I love the city life in Charlotte, it is nice to come back home to the mountains.

Okay, I feel like the title of this post is a little misleading... I'm not sad at all! I just feel that lately I have been wearing blue a lot! Could blue be the new pink? Today I'm sporting a casual cotton dress with a bandaged back (I think that's what it's called?). This dress is perfect to throw on to go out and run errands, which is exactly what I did. I didn't realize while I was getting dress this morning, but besides my watch everything is from Forever 21. I think it's safe to say I like that store...

Florals and pink

Top: Forever 21 // Shorts: Forever 21 (similar) // Purse: Steve Madden (similar) // Sandals: Wal-Mart // Watch: Michael Kors (similar) // Buckle bangle: Dailylook (similar and on sale!) // Floral bangle: China Town San Francisco // Necklace: Gift from my grandmother

If you know me then you know I love flowers! Something about them just makes me so happy when I see them. Since I love flowers so much, naturally I like visiting botanical gardens. When my parents stopped by Charlotte a few days ago to visit we decided to check out a botanical garden near me.

I think I chose the perfect outfit for this garden because they had pops of pink bamboo décor everywhere! The pink bamboo was super girly just like my outfit! The top I’m wearing is one of my favorites because it’s so lightweight and flowy (perfect for hiding food babies!). Also, I love the color scheme of this whole outfit. Light pink, white and gold are probably one of my favorite color combinations! What’s your favorite color combination to wear?

P.S. 2 days till my cruise to Alaska!! Ahhh!!

Happy 4th of July!

Romper: Forever 21 // Sandals: Forever 21 (similar) // Sunglasses: Vans //
Watch: Michael Kors // Necklace: Tiffany and co

Happy Independence day everyone! I hope all of you are having a wonderful time celebrating America's birthday!

Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a tacky holiday themed outfit, but I'm not one to rock it. This romper is perfect for the 4th because it incorporates red, white and blue without worrying too much that you might look like a walking American flag. Since the romper itself is pretty busy, I decided to keep things simple by slipping on some white sandals and minimal jewelry. These were all the photos I managed to get of this outfit before we were asked to leave the parking deck. Apparently the deck we were taking these photos from was private property (oops!).

Happy 4th everyone! (:
