Guys, can we take a second and admire the embroidery on the top of this dress?? It's what sold me on buying this dress. Although this piece is rather old (my very first Urban Outfitters purchase!) it's still a favorite. Dresses are my favorite in the summer time because they're so easy to throw on and I don't get the whole "my thighs are constricted" feeling from wearing jean shorts. Plus, they're super cute and breezy. Yay dresses!

Summer florals

Something about this outfit just makes me so happy! It could be that this is one of my favorite tops or the fact the outfit is so colorful. I love this mirrored floral top from Forever 21. It’s so light and I can just throw it on during the summer and not worry about getting too hot (and it’s floral so that’s another plus). Also, these shorts from Target are my favorite! I have them in four different colors! They are so comfy and have a slight stretch in them so they’re not too constricting.

Today marks the 12-day mark until I leave for my cruise to Alaska! I’m so excited; I’ve never visited Alaska before and this will be the first vacation I’ll have with my entire family in a long time. I’m still trying to figure out what to bring with me on the trip so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know! Are you going anywhere exciting this summer?

Happy Father's day!

I'd like to wish all the fathers out there a happy father's day and a special shout out to my dad! Dad, thank you for always being there for me, giving me advice and helping me through life. You the most hardworking and kind hearted person I know. You have been such a great role model for my brother and I and I can't thank you enough for everything that you do for us. From going dress shopping with me for every school dance to traveling around the world, I'm so thankful to have you as a father. We are the ultimate daddy daughter duo. No matter how old I get I'll always be your little girl. I love you and happy father's day, dad!

Summer Breeze

Hello everyone! Long time no talk! 

I apologize for the lack of posts between finals week, summer classes, and dealing with my current living situation blogging seemed to be put on the back burner. A lot has happened in the past month and it’s kind of crazy now looking back at it.

Ok, that’s enough about me trying to justify why I haven’t been posting as much. I don’t know about you guys, but the weather here in Charlotte has been crazy hot. I’m talking about temperatures close to 100 degrees! Can we say pool day every day? With the temperature being so hot outside it can be a little tricky trying to find something to wear. I love this little cotton dress from Forever 21. It’s so simple and easy to wear. I paired a colorful kimono to brighten up the look and accessorize with my everyday staples. 

How’s your summer going so far? Monday is my last day of summer classes so my summer will officially start Tuesday! Yay!

Happy Sunday everyone! T-minus 4 days until finals week is over!! I don't know about you guys, but I always need some type of motivation to get me through finals week. Last semester it was a trip to Disney World with my family, this semester I decided I would treat myself if I do well on all my exams. Currently on my radar are rompers, cute scarfs and a new Kate Spade clutch (on clearance and additional 25% off!)! Needless to say I am ready for Thursday afternoon to get here so I can #treatmyself
